Winter's Hair

With winter here and summer hair fading, what do you do? Letting all your hair go dark and dreary doesn't make things any better. I decided to do a subtle ombre. This gives it some color and life without making it look like I'm pretending it's still July.

The best part about this is that it will continue to grow out during the summer and I'll have a "head" start on my natural highlights. Also, I was able to get this done at a local community college for only $12 whereas it would have cost upwards of $100 at any salon.

Sweaters Sweaters Sweaters

Since it's not quite cold enough for a thick jacket down here in Carolina, I like to bundle up in a comfy sweater and scarf. The sweater I'm wearing is extra long which makes it great for warmth outside and comfort inside. The black, ankle booties are great for dressing up an outfit, but still keeping it somewhat casual. Overall, this is the perfect outfit for a nice 55 degree winter's day.

Small accessories like rings also add a lot. The ring featured below is my newest addition courtesy of my best friend, Falon. It's very delicate and goes with just about anything. (And excuse the terrible nails...)
